Maik and Tsjick are not exactly shining examples of social success. Maik belongs to the so-called “better social class”, but is emotionally ignored by his incompetent parents. Tsjick’s family is far from successfully integrated and is dangling somewhere at the bottom of the social ladder. The two neglected fourteen-year-olds slam the door behind themselves: they steal a clapped-out jeep and drive south. Without a map or a can opener, but with a clear destination: Walachia. A classic road movie. A tale full of tension, hilarious prejudices and caustic humour.
