During a pandemic, society looks like a house of cards which is collapsing completely. All our former certainties become uncertainties and people’s behaviour becomes unpredictable. In extreme times, we see two faces: the salt of the earth and collectors of toilet paper. Are those two features typical of human beings and is it possible to opt for one particular side? Is this nature or nurture? Are human beings individualistic monsters at heart which wait for the right circumstances? In ZOMBIE theatre producers Cédric Coomans and Femke Stallaert, together with nine bilingual children aged from 12 to 14, confront their deepest fears; fear of the unknown; fear of change; and the fear of death.
