During our workshops, children and youngsters discover the performing arts from the inside out. Not through a simple theatre class, but by experiencing a real creative process together with artists. Whether it’s a week during the holidays or a multi-year trajectory: research, play, and imagination are at the heart of it. 

HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS

During the school holidays, we organise workshops of up to five days. Participants work intensively for six hours a day with an artist, who introduces them to their vision, style, and working methods. They get a taste of the diversity of the performing arts and present their work at the end of the week in a short showcase. These workshops are both an initiation to BRONKS and often a stepping stone towards a longer trajectory.

YEAR PROGRAMME 

Through its year programme, BRONKS offers children and youngsters aged 4 to 20 a trajectory in which, through playfulness and exploring the basic elements of theatre, they grow into full-fledged co-creators. 
 
In the early years, the focus lies on spatial, physical and audience awareness, ensemble and solo performance, text and repertoire, scenography and visual theatre. As they grow older, participants join the creative process: they think and decide along, share their world and stories, and collaborate with artists in building performances. 
 
This way, they learn how inspiration is born, which forms it can take, and how to use the language and visual language of the performing arts freely and with confidence. Showcases and performances crown this process. Sometimes projects even develop into full-fledged productions presented outside BRONKS.
