These two have nothing in common.
Or maybe they do – the Cyr wheel!
It brings them together, like a magnet attracting polar opposites. Jef is gentle and indecisive; Marica is unwavering and combative. They meet on opposite sides of the wheel, somewhere between acrobatics and juggling. They each come in their own way: one approaches the wheel through balance, the other through falling. Instead of reaching for compromise, they use their contrasts as a creative driver.
Amidst confrontation and connection, the wheel undergoes constant transformation, highlighting the honesty of circus. In Difference is a physical, performative journey, where the wheel slowly comes to life and takes on an existence of its own.
