Everyone has their own rhythm. But what happens when those rhythms cross?
A flamenco dancer and a stepper let their bodies speak like percussive instruments: they build an exciting dance full of pulsating, complex rhythms. Live electronic sounds drive them – sometimes supportive, sometimes challenging, always surprising.
But Re:Beat does not stop at the edge of the stage. Everyone is invited to join. To feel how rhythm affects the body. To discover how it moves, clashes and connects.
After FeL and Framed, choreographer Karolien Verlinden returns with a new rhythmic project. Re:Beat is a physical music sheet that serves as a joint sensory experience. In a playful encounter between rhythms and dance styles, a story arises about individuality and difference, collaboration and empathy, made for anyone with a heartbeat.
