LAZARUS is turning twenty!
We didn't really see that coming.
Getting older happens by accident,
as does losing your hair and teeth.
But after 34 creations and hundreds of performances,
it's time to look back, forward and sideways.
And what do we see?
Young actors, theatre makers
who are eager for a place on the stage,
who want to make their voices heard.
That's why we are happy to create a performance with eight twenty-somethings from four theatre schools.
An exchange, a cross-pollination, a theatre gathering
of passions, inspirations, aspirations, obsessions and demons.
Eagerly rummaging through the barrel of our sources,
we are building, together with these young guns,
a new universe, our own theatre world
with profound questions, existential madness,
self-mockery and the joy of playing at its core.
