I am Farnoosh.
I live in a house
at the foot of a mountain,
where the air is full of stories
and the walls vibrate with my mother’s music.

I am Farnoosh.
Small in stature, fiery within.
Sitting still is not for me. My hands, my feet, my thoughts – they are always moving. People watch, whisper, and shake their heads.
But that's how I am: always wild, never quiet and occasionally strong-willed.

I am Farnoosh.
My room overlooks two worlds:
the colossal mountain keeping watch outside my window
and the steel birds that have been flying by for a while now.
Often, I peer outside
and I see dark clouds colliding with my harmonious haven.

Whenever the clouds gather menacingly,
my family and I hide from the storm,
waiting for a softer breeze,
before returning to our big city.

Echoes of the Mountains is a visual symphony merging live music and on-stage drawing. A timeless story about a girl who, during a turbulent period in Iran, struggles with questions of identity and belonging. Music, the universal echo of humanity, accompanies an ever-louder call for peace.
