Year-round programme

Are you motivated to come to BRONKS weekly throughout the school year? Our year-round programme offers artistic development courses that can span multiple years. Under the watchful eye of professional artists, you explore the performing arts in depth and work towards a small-scale theatre production.

workshops on saturday (12-)

On Saturdays, the workshops allow you to playfully build a solid foundation in the performing arts: spatial awareness, physical presence, audience awareness, ensemble work vs. solo performance, text and repertoire, scenography, and visual theatre.

We end the year with extra rehearsals and a showcase during the Ascension weekend.

workshops on wednesday (12+)

On Wednesdays, the workshops evolve into a fully co-creative process: young people take a seat at the creative table, share their ideas and decisions, and collaborate with artists towards a performance.

During the spring break, we organise extra rehearsals in preparation for the showcase at the end of the holiday.

Workshop at GC pianofabriek

BRONKS also loves to venture out. Together with Pianofabriek and Brede School Sint-Gillis, we have been organising theatre workshops for children from the 3rd year of primary school onwards for several years now.

New and interested in a year-round workshop? Please read the following before registering:

Since current participants automatically secure a place for the next year, there is a limited number of places for new participants every year. Candidates are selected at the start of summer and are assessed based on their entire profile. Age is not the only factor: experience, motivation and current group dynamics all play a part.
The year-round workshops culminate in a showcase in spring. Most groups are comprised of participants of two consecutive birth years. In principle, participants stay in the same group, which gathers at the same time of week, for two consecutive years. The eldest cohort graduate to the next group up at the end of each year.
These year-round workshops form an artistic development track that requires motivation, commitment, and a steady rate of attendance.
Ages and class year groups are indicative only. BRONKS reserves the right to deviate from these guidelines when assembling groups.
Unless indicated otherwise, these workshops are taught in Dutch. You must be able to speak and understand Dutch fluently in order to participate.

Your applicable rate depends on the joint taxable income of your household.

If your joint taxable income exceeds €40,000, you pay the base rate.
If your joint taxable income falls between €20,000 and €40,000, you qualify for the 20% reduced rate.
If your joint taxable income falls below €20.000, you qualify for the 50% reduced rate.
If you are entitled to enhanced health care reimbursements (‘verhoogde tegemoetkoming’), you qualify for the Paspartoe reduced rate. Click here for more information.

cancellation policy

Registrations for our year-round workshops are very involved: we take into consideration your motivation and availability, amongst others. If you still decide to cancel after completing your registration and being accepted into the workshops, we will charge an administrative fee of 10% of the total cost, and we will charge you for any sessions you attended.

Frequently asked questions

When can I register for the year-round workshops?

Since current participants are always guaranteed re-registration for the following year, only a small number of places become available each year for new participants. You can register your interest in the year-round programme at any time via the registration form. Candidates for the available places are selected at the start of the summer.

Can I get a tax certificate?

Yes, please let us know you want a tax certificate when you register. We will prepare the certificate by January/February. If you have not received your tax certificate by March, please get in touch at info@bronks.be.
