In this workshop, you’ll dive headfirst into the world of sound. We’ll record noises, run everyday objects through effects pedals, and create quirky sound collages of our own. A bicycle, a bucket of water or a bag of crisps become instruments. We’ll compose new soundtracks for film scenes, go on blindfolded sound hunts, and translate sounds into colour.

Technical gadgets and traditional instruments aren’t the starting point, curiosity is. You don’t need any prior knowledge or skills. Enthusiasm and imagination are enough.

LawaBO is a workshop by Aifoon, an arts organisation that radically centres listening and sound art. After five days, you’ll hear the world differently — and know how to shape it to your own tune.
