Mont St. Gumboot
A creation that teeters between graphic poetry, absurdism, surrealism, art brut and children’s rhymes.
Mont Silent Gumboot is the highest mountain range on the island Great Labuan. At the heart of the mountain range is Mount Wellington, an active volcano that still spews out imaginary lava. The six people who live there (of whom three earn a living by fishing for sound and light) entertain themselves by catching their own ideas, which often escape their buckets or nets. Beneath those ideas are jumping sponges, singing glasses and light-up boots …
The more you discover about the inhabitants of Mont St. Gumboot, the more fun and eccentric they turn out to be. You’ll want only one thing: to join them!
