A misty forest. And in that misty forest, a deer.
Everything seems to be in its place, until one day the sound of hooves echoes on the asphalt. It marks the start of an unpredictable journey, against a backdrop of floodlights and the chittering of birds.
Sortir du bois is visual puppetry theatre, inspired by both highway scenes and Dutch 17th-century vanitas still life paintings. This road trip on a table, full of absurdist humour, investigates the elusive nature of the animal, the wilderness, and our relationship with the land.
